Update on events in the near future.
BEACH BLANKET BINGO – Bingo on Friday May 29th will be OUTDOORS and will start at 6:00pm this year. Rootbeer floats will be sold to keep your tastebuds happy! Bring blankets and chairs, plus some dollars for your bingo cards and rootbeer floats! (of course this event will depend on good weather!)
MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST – This event on Monday May 31st (8am – 11am) will follow Covid guidelines, and we encourage everyone to attend. Seating will be somewhat limited, but we will try to make extra eating areas outside.
GOOSE ROUNDUP – The annual Goose Roundup will be on Saturday June 12th at 8am. We will start where the geese are on Saturday morning and carefully herd them to the capture area.
PAINTING CLASS in JULY – Peggy Trassler will be teaching a Painting Class the afternoon of Saturday June 5th at 1:00 pm at the Clubhouse. The class will be limited to 40 students and all materials are provided. Cost is $45 for adults (16 and over) and $25 for kids aged 12-15. The cost includes $5 that goes to the Clubhouse rental. Everyone in the class will go home with a beautiful Blue Heron portrait to display!
The Pretty Lake store will be open Friday, July 31st through Sunday, August 9th. Hats have been added to the items available. They are Port Authority garment washed hats in a variety of colors with embroidered Pretty Lake and the crossed paddle logo. Youth sweatshirts are now available. More colors in the Gildan adult sweatshirt and long sleeved tee shirts have been added. Prettylake2020.itemorder.com
The annual Pretty Lake Conservation Club General Meeting will be postponed from this Saturday July 18, 2020 at 9:00 AM at
the clubhouse until August 1, 2020 at 9:00 AM. Due to the Covid 19 virus, the meeting will still be outdoors, with social
distancing and face coverings required. Please observe these restrictions mandated by the LaGrange County Health
Department. Also there will be no outside speakers at this meeting. The Annual meeting that would have been on August 1,
2020 will be August 22, 2020 if it is needed.
The Flotilla is scheduled for July 4th at 2PM with a Weather day scheduled for the 5th at 12 noon. Those interested in participating need to call Nancy Wetli 260-403-8943 so that you can get a number for your boat for the judging of decorations. Prizes will be $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd. The Flotilla will assemble just North of the public landing along the West Shore and proceed counter clockwise around the lake 2 times. Prizes will be given out at the Public Access site at 4 PM.
Root Beer Floats by boat and 50/50 raffle July 4th from 7 to 8:30 PM will be sold on the West Shore, Lake Side. Look for the Military flags. In case of bad weather this event will be held at the back barn at 4595 S 890 E. Root Beer Floats will be $1.50 each and the 50/50 raffle tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
The “Ring of Fire” will be conducted as scheduled Saturday, July 4th at 10 PM. Contact your zone directors or any board member for flares. They will be $2.50 each. We purchased just enough for this year’s event so get your flares early.

Pretty Lake Apparel 2020: NEW THIS YEAR – Apparel will be ordered on line. Our on line store is open Saturday, June 13th through Monday, June 22. You can order at http://prettylake2020.itemorder.com. The store will feature tee shirts, long sleeve tee shirts and tanks for teens and adults as well as tee shirts for youth, toddlers and infants. Logo options as well as many shirt color choices and styles will be available. Orders can be picked up at the clubhouse on July 3rd and 4th 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Steve Johnson (Cottage 179) has graciously agreed to collect the scrap metal put out by our residents and take it to a recycler. If you have any metals you would like recycled and the proceeds given to the PLCC, please contact Steve at 602-509-0913. Recycling is one of the many aspects of the Pretty Lake Conservation Club and it is great to see volunteers pitching in and residents supporting a cleaner lake community.
